what is a tumor producing insulin, and is it curable?

Question:

Answers:
its islet cell adenoma, it is due to mutation of the islet of langerhans in the pancreas. The tumor would grow producing more and more insulin until the patient falls into coma. You treat it like you treat other cancers, surgical or antineoplastic drugs.

Other Answers:
I have never heard of a tumor producing insulin? Tumors can manifest themselves at any time on any part of the body or do you mean a tumor from or in the pancreas?
This would be an insulinoma. Most of the time they are benign (not dangerous) and can simply be removed surgically, and that's that. Doc can tell you more.
