Suggest using Shaklee's Optiflora. This two-product system uses new technology to protect beneficial microflora during th rigors of shipping, storage, and the acidic journey through your stomach. Other products claim live microflora at the time of manufature. Shaklee guarantees the delivery of live microflora (500 million) to your intestines.
This two-product system includes Probiotic (Bifidus & Acidophilus...microflora) + Prebiotic (FOS...food source for microflora).
So often what is going on inside our bodies will manifest itself to the surface such as psoriasis, cold sores, acne, etc.
Hope this helps and best wishes.

hi i am a nurse, if you are in england the only real thing which works is a steriod treatment called diphranol, we would treat patients by giving them daily baths, treating them with the dipranol, on affected areas only, if it is applied to good skin it will burn it off, and then the patient has to wear a body stocking, you can only have this treatment done in a hospital, you have to be trained to put the steriod on, your friend would be in for a week, as we start on a very low dose and work up higher taking extra care so she doesn't react
Tell her to visit www.hufa.org and click on the yeast link. According to my reading regarding yeast, psoriasis is one of the skin problems that is caused by a systemic yeast syndrome.
My sister has it too.
She can ask her doctor about 'light therapy' which is based on Ultra Violet Light.
She can also try using "Dermasalve" toiletry products which don't contain irritants.
If she has psoriasis on her scalp as well, she can try rinsing her hair with a mixture of nettle tea and cider vinegar after a shower.
A doctor may prescribe creams and lotions which she should use everyday as well as using other moisturisers/emollients.
Try Neem products. They have been very helpful to me. (www.bytheplanet.com) This site also has psoriasis cream and soap. Good luck!
She could use a steroid cream such as "Eumovate" - that is what I used for my psoriasis. However, instructions say it isn't meant for that condition but my chemist said don't worry.
In the long term she needs to learn to relax and not get stressed about things - which is the main cause of this condition. If she can identify what stresses her she should change that part of her life - e.g. change job, boyfriend, accomodation, etc.
If she doesn't do any of the above she should at least see a Doctor.
Psoriasis can be treated by using olive ol
My husband uses a cream called Dovonex also known as Calcipotriol this is a vitamin D cream which really helps. However the first thing your friend needs to do is to go to her GP and ask to be referred to a dermatologist as that is the only way she will get the right treatment for her.
My husband also has had PUVA treatment, this is UVA light treatment which really helps psoriasis. This can be had under the NHS.
Mangosteen............... contact me by email thru here and I'll lead you to an all natural and fully patented supplement that may help you. No side effects and it tastes fantastic! Clinical documentation and testimonials available.
Psoriasis is a very common skin condition and affect everyone of any age groups. The reasons are still unclear and there are a lot of different treatments out there. One of them I believe is switching to alternative medicine. Dr Bach remedies is a very good (helped my sister with exma) alternative natural medicine. It's made of flower essence and you put few drops in a glass of water and drink it. It also comes in a form of cream to use directly on the skin. Best is to use it combined, so it can be healed from the inside and also from the outside. This product can be found in stores such as Holland and Barrett. I also believe in calendula cream, it's the best for skin and its a natural healer. Again products such as calendula tea and creams are also very effective.
Hope this helps.
