How do I get rid of an underground zit?

Question: I have an underground zit under my skin on my t-zone [near my eyebrow], and it is so big and painful and ANNOYING. I'll be in a steamy shower for half an hour, but that won't make it come to a head. It doesn't look bad at all, it just hurts and I want it gone. How can I get rid of it, without having to "wait it out"?
(Sorry this is kind of gross.)
