has anyone had a child w/ chicken pox that received the chicken pox vaccine?
Question:
Answers:
I was one of the first batch of children to receive the chicken pox vaccine. At one point my sister (also vaccinated) and I came down with a very mild form of chicken pox - the vaccine didn't prevent it so much as subdue it. Just stock up on calamine lotion and try some oatmeal baths. The duration for us was short - whether it was because of the vaccine or our own super fantasticness, I don't know, but we were over it in about a week. Good luck!
Other Answers:
My friends granddaughter did just about 2 weeks ago. She had the vaccine and got them but not too bad. So, yes, you an still get the pox even with the vaccine
