Is there any treatment/medic. for my fruit and vegetable allergies?

Question: It's a real waste being allergic to plenty of fruits and vegetables that are not only healthy, but also taste great. It's really difficult to get enough in my diet when I'm allergic to so many of them. One of the only ones I'm not allergic to is the one I happen to hate- celery. It's so stringy and it makes me gag, I mean literally gag.

The mast cell stabilizing drug, Gastrocrom (US brand name for oral cromolyn) is very helpful for some people with food allergies. You could also give allergy shots a try, but they are time-consuming and can be costly.

Are you 100% positive that you truly are allergic to so many fruits and vegetables? From everything I have ever read, it seems the more allergies a person supposedly has, the less likely the problem truly is allergy..Even if they have tested positive through allergy tested.. Just something to think about..

Stay away from them, unless your allergist has recommended shots or medication. I don't have any idea from your info as to what symptoms you have as an allergic reaction. Be patient, you could outgrow them.

Have you tried washing the pesticides off the fruit and veggies before you eat them? Have you been tested to be sure you are allergic to the fruits & veggies or the pesticides? Go to an allergist! A good one can treat you and have excellent results! Give it a try.

I don't know the name of this discipline in English, but have you tried Biologie totale?

The theory (very simplify here) is that most allergies or intolerances are there because we where eating such type of food when a stress to big to deal with happen to us. The body, not able to cope with it «transfer» the problem from emotion to physicality so it can deal with the problem as best as it can.

It is similar to what Chronic Hiver implied.

In my case, I was not able to digest green pepper properly, then I discovered that the problem started just about the time my best friend dump me. And I had ate a lot of green peppers moments before for supper.
Once I realize this, I delt with the loss of a great friend, and the problem with the peppers disappeared.

This technique (from books of therapists) could help you with some of your allergies.
