What kinds of food can I eat to lower my blood sugar levels?
Question:
Answers:
I think that anything over 120 is high. BUT yours is not to high. I have a tester in my home because my dad passed away with diabetes. I checked this one man and his was 468. Now that's high. Being at 126 isn't bad at all. You can call your nurse of the pharmacists in your area and they will tell you.

That's not high... eating raises it. Best wishes
Blood sugar level all depends, if that is your morning fast test, yes that is considered a little high. My doctor said it should be around 100 but no higher than 120. Eating causes your blood sugar to rise and then your body has to try to lower it by pushing out insulin. Just watch how much sugar, carbs, all the processed foods you are eating. Keep an eye on your blood sugar and if it doesn't improve talk to your doc. Best of luck!
That is not a high blood sugar at all!! Anyone with diabetes dreams of it being at that level all the time.
Eating anything will raise the blood sugar, not lower it. Not eating and drinking water and exercising will lower the blood sugar. But, when it is at that level, you want to be sure to watch it when exercising as it can lower it too much. So, when exercising, be sure to have something with carbs with you (granola bar, peanut butter sandwich, sweet fruit, etc).

The best NATURAL answer to Diabetes is Bitter Melon.
This vegetable is available in all Philipino markets. I think some Indian grocery shops also have this vegetable.
Wash the vegetable and eat it raw - about half the vegetable per day and check your sugar level after about 4 days - you will see the difference. Of course I must warn you that the taste of it is very unpleasant. Once you know that it is good for you you will come to like it.
I know a person who was injecting insulin daily stopped it after his wife started to crush the vegetable and made him to drink a half cup of this juice daily.
Of course you have to have it raw. Boiling it or cooking it and eating it will have no results. So I am not sure how well your dad will enjot it.
If you get good results post it as a question in this section so that others will know the value of this vegetable.
how did you find out your sugar level? from a blood test by your doctor? if yes then you were told to fast before the test and if you fasted then 126 is not good and needs to be confirmed as yes to probable diabetes eat lots of fiber and walk. in 3 weeks of this i lowered my sugar from regularly 150 to a regular 95 or so
I know of someone that have diabetes and had an open wound almost 1 feet in size on the leg. Fully recovered on the wound and the sugar level back to normal after taking a product call Colostrum for about 3 months. That is not a medicine for diabetes but the good news is, doctor certify cure!
A little, good glucose levels are between 90-120.
Good foods to eat would be protein, being chicken, fish. Complex carbs like brown rice, brown bread, (wheat or rye). Vegetables, peanuts, peanut butter. Make sure you stay away from simple carbs like; white bread and junk flour products; like doughnuts, white rice, processed meals in boxes and tv dinners; unless specifically made for diabetics.
I ma sure if you go to yahoo or google and look up diabetic diets; you will get some good suggestions.

I don't think it's too high, but it is creeping up. Avoid eating simple carbohydrates like white rice, white bread, candies, cakes, cookies and so forth, and eat more whole grains like brown rice, whole wheat bread and so forth. You can buy this stuff in the regular supermarket, but health food stores also have more nutritious versions of these foods. Fruit is okay, but some fruits are higher in sugar and carbos than others, so look into which kinds are better to eat. Likewise with juices - some raise your sugar levels more than others.
Eat more protein like chicken and fish, eat white meats (after cooking) like pork, and eat red meat infrequently as it raises your cholesterol levels. Eat lots of salads and beans, for fiber, which is important for your colon health (colon cancer is a leading cause of death in the US because we don't eat much fiber), and eat nuts too. Some are high in fat like peanuts, but they increase your fiber load.
Exercise - run, do speed walking, and so forth, as it will also lower your blood sugar levels.
Take care of yourself!!!
