Chikungunya is explained fairly well by Wikipedia. I didn't see anything about menstral cycles being affected. Go to their site www.wikipedia.com and look it up as I spelled it for more info. Chikungunya has nothing to do with mensus.
Chikungunya or any illness with high fever can disrupt your menstrual cycle. Usually periods return after on e skipped one. Be sure you aren't pregnant, however. That is important because Chikungunya can be transmitted through the placenta to your unborn baby. This is more likely later in pregnancy than in early pregnancy, but still is an important thing for women in your part of the world to know.
