Topical antifungal drugs containing miconazole and clotrimazole, available by prescription or over the counter, are used to clear up the infection. According to Living Well on a Shoestring by the editors of Yankee Magazine, a folk remedy for ringworm is cider vinegarwater. Another alternative is tea tree oil. Fungal infections may take a while to clear up.

um. sry but i would say tell Ur doctor.
I know it sounds crazy, but I would use the OTC athlete's foot cream
if you put clear fingernail polish on it, it will keep it from spreading
You need to use the cream for the full period, either 7 or 10 days. Wash the area with a clean washcloth before each application of the cream, then throw the washcloth into the laundry. Do not use it again on a different location. Remember to cover the ringworm area with a bandage large enough to cover the area completely. Don't go swimming or into a sauna or a steamroom while the ringworm is still red and itchy.

If the 'script cream doesn't work after the total period of time, try Lamisil cream once a day for one week. Follow all the same steps as above. If it reoccurs, you need to start all over again with the Lamisil.
here is the best answer your going to get on here, call or go back to your doctor and talk with them, do not look for medical answers here on youqa.com. if they are not listening to you and it appears like they are saying hey I hear what your saying but just keep doing what I am telling you because I know best then go to a different doctor. that's what they go to school for, they just need to remember to listen to their patients, so I suggest you call or go back again, that's the way you deal with it
Repost this question with a little more info: How long have you had ringworm? How long have you been applying Lamisl? Where is it located on your body? Are you bathing AT LEAST twice a day?

Anyway, you need to use the Lamisl for easily 2-3 weeks. If you saw a doctor about this, I'm guessing they knew what they were doing when they wrote the prescription. Otherwise you might want to see a dermatogist if you haven't done so already.

If you're wrestling or doing a mat sport, you might want to stop that until it goes away- it's really contageous in case you don't know. Also, the mats themselves may be really dirty and causing your ringworm to get worse.
some walnut tree oil, should be at any health food store,or if youre lucky enough to live arround some walnut trees, crack open the green outter hull, put that juice on in 3 times aday.my mom did this for me when i was a kid, worked faster than any topical ointment.good luck..carla
Myself and my brothers all had ringworm many years ago when we were young (50 years ago). My mom tried everything and two of us were cured. My older brother could not get rid of his. One day, an old country woman told mom that the only cure (in those days) was 'bluebutter' from the Chemist. Mom asked for and got some, used it and it was cured within days. It was only after wards she found out it was an old cure for venereal disease.
Hi Sweeti,
Of course you probably allready know that RW is not a case of worms but wrather a bactirial infection. Your imune sys. can usually take care of such things but as with us all, we need help sometimes.
I understand you have a topical ointment now you are useing. Return to your physican and have he or she observe it. You may need to go on an oral antibiotic. Remember, if your on the pill or some other kind of birth control, antibiotics can sometimes render them useless.
Good Luck and STOP ICHING IT!!
Mike
I put that perscribed cream on my daughter too, it got worse, of course. So the neighbor told me to use Iodine and lotrimin cream and I was so happy it cleared up in 6 days.

It could be that the medicine killed the ringworm, but your skin is irritated from the treatment, it's powerful stuff. My advice is stop putting anything on it for a few days and see if it improves. If it doesn't, go see your doctor again, but my guess is that it will.
You can dilute clorox with water and put it on the ringworm several time a day. If you are not allergic to iodine that works also, but you have to do it more than once or twice a day.
