I have herpes, am I going to die from them?

Question:

I don't know where i got them from but I'm guessing it was from my girlfriend because last night I was with a few girls in vegas and they told me they were clean.

Answers:
First, you will NOT die if you have herpes.

And second, I don't know if I would trust "a few girls in Vegas" before I trusted my own girlfriend.

Herpes is NOT deadly for adults (it can be for newborns). The only STDs that are deadly are HIV/AIDS and untreated syphilis. You can also get cancer from HPV, but this is usually cervical cancer which obviously just affects women.

***Also, herpes doesn't just "clear up" with some antibiotics like Daniel R said. Antibiotics ONLY cure bacterial STDs, not viral ones. There is no cure for viral STDs, which include HIV/AIDS, herpes, HPV and hepatitis.

lol You believe what "a few girls in vegas" tell you over what your significant other might tell you? I suggest you have your priorities all messed up and you likely deserve a scorching case of Herpes. Too bad tho', herpes wont kill you. It's painful, and it's with you for life, but no, it won't kill you.
