Is there a way someone can catch herpes by drinking behind u if u are a carrier of the virus.?

Question:

Answers:
If it was a cold sore then yes. But, since you said herpes simplex virus 2 (which is typically genital herpes) the answer is no.

I have had genital herpes for over 5 years. I sometimes will share a drink with my mother or one of my girlfriends. I have NEVER passed the virus on to them that way. Genital herpes is only spread by sex and skin to skin contact with the area. There are other ways like childbirth, but this is pretty rare. So no, you can not get genital herpes from drinking after someone.

Other Answers:
If they have an outbreak, and the skin is broken, then yes. But for genitle herpes, you just have to have close skin to skin contact at any time.
Are you talking about simplex 1 on the mouth? If so, it may be possible. Never kiss anyone or let them drink from your glass if you have an outbreak.
If you have a cold sore they could get it. Cold sores are a form of herpes.
If your disease is active at the time
