Answers:
What blood test did your doc order? If it was a fasting test then that can come back normal or negative but you can still have diabetes. Also if he ordered an A1C, same thing. The best test to catch early diabetes is a Glucose Tolerance test. You go into the lab fasting, drink a sugary drink and then your blood sugar is monitored over a course of a couple of hours. In early diabetes glucose levels could return to normal after fasting and in the case of an A1C it's an average over a couple month time period. Your blood sugar could be staying elevated over a longer period of time, but then falling later. The combination of high and low numbers or slightly elevated numbers with normal ones might show up as normal when averaged. You're drinking a lot, which is going to cause you pee a lot, however the other symptoms are consistent with high glucose levels. If your doctor will not do the GTT, see another doctor for the test and a second opinion. You already know that you have prediabetes, formally referred to as borderline, and I'm sure you know your risk of developing diabetes is very high. Get to the doctor and start making changing before things progress further.
Juice has a lot of sugar in it... Try drinking water instead. Water is better for your kidneys too.
