My son is 4yrs old and has a fever of 102 i gave him medicine, should i take him into the er?? or just monitor

I think they say 103, but I wouldn't take any chances and just take him.

put him in a luke warm bath. NOT cold. Keep watching him. If it doesn't go down in an hour or starts getting work then take him to the er.
take him to the doctor right away i know that with some people children mainly that if their body temp gets to high they can have seizures my niece does all the time so we have to keep her body temp cool enough to where we don't have to worry but it could mean anything and you don't want to regret not taking him if it's something major

102 isnt life threatening. Monitor him. If it increases 104-105 then I would be concearned. I have 2 boys as well 6 and 12. They both went through it a few times. The temp should go down.
Go right now to the ER.
