Malaria Tablets?

Question:
If i haven't been bitten do i really need to keep taking them for a week after i return to the UK?

Answers:
Malaria prophylaxis needs to be taken for a week to a month after you have travelled depending on the type of malaria tablets you are taking. This is because there is always a chance that you have been bitten thus infected and treatment is necessary. It is a short price to pay for health.
