Is it safe to visit a friend in hospial whilst I'm pregnant?

Question:
he's on the surgical ward after an operation and I dont want to pick up some weird superbug...?

Answers:
go directly to the surgical ward. Do not touch or lick anything (lol). Do not touch your face, mouth, nose, etc. Wash your hands upon entering his room (for his sake) and when you leave (for your sake). If you want to be extra careful, you can get a small bottle of antibacterial gel and use that right after you exit the building, just in case. Unless he is in there to have a nasty infection cleaned out, then you should be fine.
If you are still uncomfortable about visiting at the hospital, then send flowers or something with a note saying you are looking forward to visiting him when he is better recovered and headed home. You would love to bring a dinner over and to visit when he feels up to it. Many people are too tired to have visitors after a surgery, but need the support of their friends when they go home and no longer have a nurse to help them with the little things and meal prep. Giving him an option of having a visitor at home (bearing gifts of food) may be the most polite thing to do!
It will be safe. Just be sure to wash your hands before and after the visit.
Yes you can visit him. If he has something contagious he would be in isolation.
unless you plan on putting your cervix on a few surfaces. it oughta be the same risk as when you're not-pregnant
I would suggest you avoid any places where you would be increasing your risk of an infectious disease. Hospitals, large crowds, airplanes and the such.
Can you just call him? They say the hospital is the easiest place to get an infection. If you feel that you REALLY need to visit this friend, put on a mask and wash your hands once you leave his room.
Any where you go you are likely to pick up some kind of "bug". There are pregnant people working in the hospital just like anywhere else. If the patient has some kind of infectious disease you do not want to visit the person. As far as getting an infection I would not worry about it.
it is safe to visit a friend in the hospital while you are pregnant. just be sure to wash your hands before you enter and exit the room. if you are uncomfortable about it then just call your friend or send your friend a card or something telling them that you hope that they get better soon. and tell your friend that when they get home you would be happy to come over and help them if they need you to help them with anything.
