Is my almost-healed cold sore still contagious?

It's pretty much gone now but I still have a faint reddish spot on my lip where the cold sore was. Is it safe for me to kiss people now?

I'd give it one more week just to be sure. You can never be too careful. Happened to me when my aunt passed it. Man, did it annoy me. xD
well in your case i'd give 4 days to a week for better healing.. and just to be on the safe side.
when I had cold sores las time.. i used Zovirax.. its the best .. mine got cured in less then a week.. but ask your pharmacist before you take it ... hope it helps..
