what are the REAL chances of transmitting the herpes virus on a dily basis... like through the tolet or not washing hands etc... i need real answers please... i already know all the details, you dont have to tell me, i just wanna know if it can be passed to family members

Answers:
The reason there are no stats is because herpes is a skin to skin transmission virus and catching it from a toilet seat would amount to a freak accident. On a surface like that, if an actual herpes sore came into contact with it (urine wouldn't transmit it) the virus would still only survive about 30 seconds max. So chill, it doesn't happen, it is an old wives tale.
As for the not washing hands... unless one person touches a sore, doesn't wash their hand, within the space of a few seconds the exact same part of their fingers comes into contact with your fingers and you then put your hand straight down your pants and touch your own genitals with the part of you hand that made contact with the other person, and your genitals just happen to have a small abrasion that lets the virus in, unless all this happens it isn't going to get transmitted. And lets face it, you are more likely to win the lottery than this happen.

Herpes is called a virus that is transmitted skin to skin because it is transmitted by infected skin touching infectable skin - infectable being genital skin, lips, eyes etc. You aren't going to catch their herpes unless you are having sex with them, and even then it might take years because they are only infectious about 18% of the time. See, nothing to worry about.
herpes are cankersores.. so if you got em in your mouth then kissing could transfer them. (or sex)

thats it i think (idk bout transferring from toilets)

oh and spit. yeah dont go spit on someone if theyre in your mouth. haha
yes, by kissing, touching each other, any kind of skin-to-skin contact
The Herpes virus cannot live very long outside the body, so the chances of transmitting it through casual encounter (such as toilet seats, towels, hand shakes, etc.) is extremely, extremely small to none.

About 22% of the population have genital Herpes. It would be around 99% if it could be transmitted in the ways that you described.

Someone diagnosed with Herpes already has to get over feeling like a leper so please help this person by not treating them like one. :-)
Are you being serious? Herpes is not transmitted that easily. Via sexual intercourse is about the fastest way of trasmission

Please relax...HIV is not even trasmitted that easily.

Don't behave that way because you never know what can happen to you.
hereps is transmited by skin to skin contact. you cant get it from a toilet seat etc. now if someone touches an open sore does not wash their hands and IMMEDIATLY after touches someone elses genitals or eyes etc then yes it can be transmitted that way. but who wouldnt wah their hands after doing that?? you arent even supposed to be touching the sores in the first place. to sum it all up you cant get herpes from daily casual contact, it wouldnt be called an std if it were.
It's a Sexually transmitted disease. sexually being the key word.
