What are these white patches in my throat?
Question:
Do you know what this could be?
I don't think it's strep because it doesn't hurt, but maybe I have an underlying infection of some sort?
Help me figure this out until I can get to the doctor.

white patches to me indicate the start of tonsilitis. It could just be an irritation from the oral- if it starts to hurt within the next day or so, and the nasal drip is there, get to the docs for anti biotics.
Strep usually begins with a swollen throat, hard to swallow, intense soreness and pain. Tonsilitis is less intense, comes on gradually within about 3 days then begins to hurt.
Just irritation from post nasal drip. also could be from dehydration... drink lots of water.
You could have mono. That was one of the only symptons I had when i had mono was the white in my throat. Another thing could be a yeast infection in your throat. This can come from different medicines you may have taken, and this can be passed to your boyfriend. If you notice any other symptons like being tired more than usual, headache, or your throat does start to get sore, go to the docor soon!
could be hpv.
Its your tonsils. One of the ways that they dispose of the stuff they filter out of your body is to form those little white puss pellets, they will fall of and you will most likely swallow them.
Nothing to be concerned about, unless its super frequent, like goes on for years a t a time or starts to hurt, then id go to a doctor.
You need to see a doctor and get a real diagnosis. Off the top of my head I say it could be one of these possibilities:
Throat infection
Puss pockets
STD
No more oral until you know what it is. For that matter, no more sex until you get married!
Anytime you're sexually active,and not in a COMMITTED relationship, and not using protection (YES, ORAL) you're taking a big chance on getting gonorrhea, or a host of many other STD's. PLEASE GET TO A DR.! Sorry to scare you, but it is so very common now. Go to a planned parenthood, or clinic, just go, now!

Don't rule out strep, I took my son in once from a lot of postnasal drip,no fever and no sore throat. He had the white patches too, and it was strep. It could be just an inflammation from you postnasal drip, but I might get it checked out.
