Question:

Answers:
Dogs shed because of weather changes, they shed between 2 and 4 times a year, depending on the breed and how many seasons to have to face.

My bernese mountain dog is a 4 seasons dog. He has 1 very thick coat for winter, he sheds gradually during spring, his coat his very thin during summer, because of the heat and he sheds one last time for winter.
A dog sheds to rid itself of fur. It's a sign of the weather getting warmer. They do it as a cooling measure; the less fur they have, the cooler they are.
Besides the weather, some animals shed when they are stressed.
