It has now been seven whole days since I received oral sex from my girlfriend who had an open cold sore at the time. I did not know that HSV-1 can spread that way and frankly I'm pretty pissed that all the hours of sex ed that high school forced on me didn't mention this once. Alright, basically there is a small (smaller than a pea) and painful red form on the base of my penis/scrotum. This single bump arose on the 1st, 2nd or 3rd day of this fiasco. On day 6, I had itching across my groin and anus. On today, day 7 I noticed an open pimple or blister on the very top of my butt crack which is painful to the touch. It's rather large and seems to have appeared over night. I had very strange lower back sensitivity when I tried to fall asleep on the night of day 6. The general itchiness has decreased, but it has become apparent after I noticed the sore on my buttock. This same sore had white strands coming out of it when it was discovered.

You should go to the doctor to get tested while you are still exhibiting symptoms. Yes, you can get genital Herpes from oral sex when your girlfriend has a cold sore.
You are also probably psyching yourself out and have become hyper-sensitive to your symptoms. If you go to the doctor he can prescribe a medication like Valtrex if necessary to help curb the outbreak.
Yes, it is sad that society attaches such a social stigma to Herpes but then doesn't have the follow through to thoroughly educate people about it.
Having Herpes is manageable so even if you have contracted it, you and your girlfriend can continue to live fairly normal lives.
Why don't you see your doctor and ask if they think it may be an STD? You NEVER know what you may be exposed to.
