HPV is very common in sexually active women, although men can carry it to.HPV can lay dormant for long periods of time, and suddenly come back, being triggered by stress or a cold. Smoking is also a sure fire way to bring it out. As you have stated you already know it can turn into cervical ca, which is a very aggressive cancer. The best thing to do is to follow up with your gyn, and to not let those visits slip. You may also want to see a GYN/Oncologist for a second opinion (bring your records).
I work for a GYN Oncologist and this is a very common disease. We see it ALL the time. I would honestly wait for your results, but also go for a 2nd opinion.
Hope that was helpful!
sorry to hear about this=sounds like you might be in for some more sugery =Lets pray to God that you don't have to okay =good luck and God bless
My advice to you is to RELAX! Only 1 percent of women who have the types of HPV that lead to cervical cancer actually develop cervical cancer. I hope that you have been getting your paps regularly because it can prevent the development for cervical cancer. Even if you happen to develop cervical cancer (which is rare), it can be treated. Wait for the results and talk to your doctor. Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus (herpes; HSV) not HPV (the human papilloma virus). Most warts are harmless. Try to keep levels of stress low, eat more healthy foods, exercise or at least increase physical activity, and quit bad habits, i.e. smoking and/or drinking. I hope that I have helped and good luck.
I know everyone is telling you the same things. But they are right. Please try and RELAX! When your immune system weakens there are so many things that can go wrong. Please try and stay calm. Try your best not to think about it. I know you've been through a lot and I know it is very stressful. Being healthy and staying focused is the best gift you can give yourself.
Good Luck Sweetie
