He may be offended, but really who cares? I would rather offend a guy than later on find out that I caught AIDS or some other kind of sexually transmitted disease. If he really cares for you he will have the test done. I would want to see the results and not just go on his word that he had them done

Is it rude to give someone HIV? He should be understanding and get it done without a fuss. If he comes with that crap of oh you don't trust me blah blah blah then he's not worth. If he loves you he will get the test done without a squabble. Make him show you the results don't just take his word for it. You only have one life and one body per lifetime, take good care of it. Also, if you don't have the firmness and maturity to tell him to get tested before sex, maybe you're not ready for it yet.
Who cares what he thinks your just trying to protect yourself you have every rite to ask if he doesn't like it kick him to the curb girl ...now in days you can't really trust someones word when it comes to issues like that ...take care of yourself and always use condoms

Some of them think that hey that is very cool to make sure that he and she does not have any kind of disease, but there are some that have something to hide and they will get upset.
that she's smart and cares enough about herself to be protected. don't let anyone make you feel bad for wanting to be safe. i'm just as cautious as you are and if the guy really cares about you he won't have a problem with being tested for you. most towns have a planned parenthood where it's free to get tested so it's not like he can complain about the cost. you're health and future are worth asking! especially in your situation where you're thinking about your first time you should make sure the guy respects you enough to do this for you.
