What can i do to get rid of dark lips?

Question: my lips were pink but i just noticed that my upper lip and corners of lower lip turned dark leaving the center of my lower lip pink. i dont know what to do. i dont smoke or anything like that. i want to even out my lip color. do u know any tips or creams for that. i was also thinking if applying whitening cream or fade dark spot cream on lips will help. please help me.
