Few questions about herpes...?

Question:
Does the sore appear generally in the same spot or can it move around? Do they always burst? How contagious is it if you have sex with a condom but you might be having an outbreak at the time and dont realise?

Answers:
I've had outbreaks in different locations, it is never the same. Also, it doesn't always burst. I have had all types of outbreak - classic blisters in a small patch, a 'cut' at the entrance to my vagina, or just a small tender lump which went away in a few hours. I couldn't tell you how contagious, but they reckon condoms cut your chances of catching it by about 50%. Men are also slightly less likely to catch it than women.
you can get lesions anywhere, once a lesion appears and the blister forms, it always breaks and scabs and finally heals, you are contagious for up to three weeks after the last sign of the lesion is gone. You are also contagious for a week before a lesion ever appears, and don't know it. That is why you can give it to anyone during unprotected sex at any time.
Using a condom at all times is essential, and if you have an active lesion, you should not have sex at all, because the virus is active and it is literally all over your skin, a condom when you have a lesion is like putting a bandaid on an amputated limb, kind of pointless.
The sore usually appears in the same spot but it can move around. The virus lives in cells at the tip of your spinal cord and the virus can travel anywhere from your navel to your upper thighs. No they don't always burst. The herpes virus lesions' vary from a crack in the skin to the "classic textbook symptoms" (the pictures you see online). It is most contagious when you are having an outbreak with or without a condom. Condoms do not cover all of the genital region, therefore a person with the virus should abstain from sex until the lesions are gone. I hope that I have helped.
