Herpes and sex..?
Question:
Answers:
He may be ok. If he isn't having symptoms within 4-5 days he should be fine. Condoms do still provide about 50% protection, and men are slightly less likely to catch herpes than women, hence one on four women having it and one in five men. A condom should have protected the most vulnerable parts of his anatomy, though there is still a chance obviously. All the best.
If you used the condom and it was on right then i think he'll be fine.
most likely he will
Sorry, herpes can be passed even with a condom. Get on the daily therapy (Valtrex) if possible. Ask you Doc if BF can get on it too as preventative (my idea). Generic anti-viral drugs can work too.
Sorry to say that he can contract it at any time from you -- whether or not you are having an outbreak. Since it is passed through intimate (membrane) skin-to-skin contact, condoms don't always help. There is a higher likelihood of contracting it during an outbreak -- you're correct about that. There are some medications out now that lesson outbreak frequency and help to supress it somewhat. You should ask your doctor about them. As for your boyfriend, you can only wait and see if he breaks out then go to the doctor for treatment. I don't know the exact statistics, and there are so many variables (where exactly you broke out, did his skin touch yours in that exact place, time table, etc.) that it's impossible to say with any accuracy how likely he is to have contracted it.
Good luck, and my heart goes out to you. A cure needs to be found! All the advances in medicine and people still have to suffer with this. Ridiculous!
if yoy guys used protection he should be fine.sometimes friction from sex causes outbreaks.
sweety ur contagious all the time u have herpes just by kissing him u can give him herpes ok so most likely he already has herpes tell him he needs to go get checked out ok
