Knee popping?

Question:
When my right knee is bent ( ie: sitting, laying with leg up knee bent) and i "flex" it, it pops. It doesn't really hurt, just a weird sensation. It does not happen in my left leg.
What could this be?

Answers:

I'm not in the medical field but I think it might be the joint repositioning itself. It's not that unusual.
OMG SAME WITH ME!!
that is so weird same knee and everything!
but i am fine after it pops...
and i am athletic...
so ya i will check back on this answer for myself too =]
good luck!
mine does the same thing...are you very active? I have been told its arthritis.
sounds like your patella is not tracking properly. That bascially means your kneecap likes to pop around and not stay in place. This isnt serious unless you experience knee pain. A good way to try to avoid it is to do strengthing of your quad, hamstrings, and your inner and outter thigh muscles which are your adductors and abductors.
I get it too- its just your joints. As long as it doesnt hurt its fine. It makes me cringe though everytime...kinda gross
You could just have crooked knees. Seriously. It's not anything to worry about.
its normal
same thing happens to me except in both knees and sometimes in my elbows
