When something irritates the nasal hairs in our nose, and we empty the lungs to clear the blockage/irritant. The small gap forces the air to reach speeds of over 100 mph, and the irritant is ripped up, and 'splattered' with any fluids in the nasal passage at the time of the sneeze.
to stop us damaging or eyes and sinus passages, we automatically close them and constrict the muscles around the face.
we also close the mouth involuntary, which can cause us to bite our tongue if it is triggered involuntary when we are eating or talking. A rapid flash of sunlight, can cause the eyelids to close in a similar way, triggering off a sneeze, as to can swelling around these hairs by certain virus infections to the nasal passageways, like colds.
A heavy discharge of the cold virus causes liquids to build up in the nasal passage, and these cause pressure problems when sneezing, which can damage the ears and sinus passageways, so we constantly dribble the liquids away to protect oneself, hence the running nose you can not stop.
A sneeze can be so violent, that the heart my stop beating to protect the blood vessels in the nasal cavity from damage as well, but it is still not strong enough to clean away the throat. When this main passageway in the throat is blocked, the bodys natrual defence is to vomit, using the much stronger stomach muscles to clear the passagway, Reserving the air in the lungs for cleaning away particles of stomach lining, the carrot like bits - after the main heave.

I heard its impossible to sneeze with your eyes open. Also heard your heart doesnt beat when you sneeze. So dont sneeze too much. I like that word sneeze, dont you?
