I have genital herpes. I typically have 2 outbreaks a year. I was diagnosed 3 years ago.?

They don't come with as much warning anymore. This last time I just noticed my lymph nodes swollen and an odd heavy feeling downbelow. I have one sore. I don't feel like filling an Rx for it which will cost me upwards to 80 dollars. ( no insurance.) The healing process sucks usually because right as it begins to heal I end up ripping off the scab because it sticks to my undergarments. I decided to try and avoid that issue by dabbing some a+d ointment on it .

Now, Ive already done the dabbing and it doesn' sting or anything. Im curious if it will aide in the healing ?

Herpes is a virus and you really need to be on your meds. There are several programs to get your meds at little or no cost. Check with the drug manufactuer and see if they will give you the meds. Also talk to your physician, they can usually get samples for you.
Lastly, I use freedrugcard.us, and it has saved me a bunch on my meds.

Sorry. Viruses don't respond to anything but a disease specific anti-viral medication. An antibiotic cream ( not vitamins) might aid in preventing a secondary infection due to the open sore, however.
