While you're having the seizure, there's not much you can do... that's rather the point. It'll last probably a minute or less. Once it's done, you'd feel disoriented and tired, and probably would wonder why you're on the floor, since you won't remember getting there. You won't be conscious during the seizure. Seizures are always serious, so call the paramedics immediately after you have one (if you have one). Do not attempt to drive to the hospital. Aside from the fact that the convulsions from a grand mal seizure can cause you to seriously injure yourself (imagine blacking out while in the bath, or hitting your head after falling off of your chair), seizures are (to put it simply) the result of the electrocemical signals in your brain going haywire and causing you to black out and lose control of your body. It's also possible to have a second seizure after the first one has passed... and a third after the second, and a fourth after the third. So yes, they're serious and you need medical attention after one. While you wait for the paramedics, you'll probably want to clean yourself up a bit (losing control of your body also means losing control of bladder and bowel function). Don't take a bath - use the sink and a wash rag, or just stay where you are and let the ER people clean you up. Make sure at some point you call your doctor. If the medicine is causing seizures, you need to discontinue it and your doctor needs to know so s/he can give you a new one.
I've never had a seizure because of medicines, but I did have seizures after I got a concussion. They're not fun, but they're not the end of the world. Seizures that are a reaction to medicine generally stop after you stop taking the medicine, and are fairly rare anyway. If they happen to you, go to the ER, get checked out. You'll probably have to undergo tests to make sure the medicine was the cause, but like I said, if it is, once you stop taking the medicine, the seizures also stop.
