Hi. Allergic reactions or hypersensitivity has got no age restriction. You will know whether are you allergic, only when you go that particular substance. Until then you will not know. So if you are exposed to an allergen at 20 you will have allergic reaction. Or else, if you are exposed at later stage, you will get then.

I was allergic to poison ivy until I was 16 - now i can eat the leaves, literally, and I don't react at all. I never had nut allergies until I was 23 - now I can't eat nuts at all.
