Why is my big toe always numb lately?

Question:
I've never had a problem in the past, but these seems weird. For the past week the top of my big toe is always numb. No, its not my sneakers, they fit fine. I know I should see a doctor probably, but I am scared of finding out what the problem is. Yes, I know its stupid, I was just wondering if any of you have had a similar thing occur.

Answers:
I did! In fact, I went through a period where my hands and feet would get cold, tingly feeling, numb in places, etc. Spent THOUSANDS of dollars on tests and they never found anything. Some of the things they suspected might be the cause were poor circulation, diabetes, and MS. Guess what they finally said it was? Uh?... Uh?... Stress! What else?

Anyway, eventually it all went away. NOT that I'm saying that what you have is what I had. I would encourage you to go to the doctor. You're scared ANYWAY. That way you're scared of what they'll find. This way you're scared of what you can imagine. Your imagination is worse, TRUST me.
Have yourself checked for high blood sugar. I'm not ytrying to scare you or anything, but it might be a circulation problem due to diabetes. My friend had that.
Sounds like a circulation issue, do you have a callous there? Is it all the time or just after sitting or standing for long periods of time? Try www.mayoclinic.com
