Mosquitos?? Any releif from many bites on my 4 year old who is scratching?

Someone once told me toothpaste and I thought it sounded too bizarre, but later that week I got bit and had such a welt that I was desperate for relief from itching. I put a generous amount of toothpaste on it and waited, feeling like it was doing nothing but soothing a little. About a minute later I noticed that I had gotten some of the toothpaste smeared on my desk by accident. I decided I would just wash it off because it was too messy. About the same time it suddenly dawned on me that it did not hurt or itch as badly. I could still feel it, but not nearly as awful as it was. After about three minutes I wiped the toothpaste off, leaving maybe a light film of it. The next day I noticed that the swelling was gone and I've had no repeat itching at that site. In my previous experience, bites continue to itch the next day. This time it didn't. It was one of those bad places too, on the inner part of my index finger. Vinegar is great for taking the itch away and also Aloe Vera.
Buy some Witch Hazel.
put some on a cotton ball.
rub it vigorously on all the mosquito bites for about 5 minutes.
i got a bite on my face one night, i did all that and the bite was completely gone by morning.
its a cheap and great remedy that really works!
Tea tree oil (melalueca) is great, you can put one drop on top of it, or buy it in a premixed gel that is also cool and soothing. We use it quite a bit, as our kids all react quite strongly to mosquitos. They have it at most health food stores, and some pharmacies, you can also purchase online.

Caladryl Clear Lotion. I swear by it. I have actually been bit, put the stuff on it, and the mosquito bite disappears. I've used it on sunburns in a pinch to take the sting out of them (since it is a topical analgesic)... good luck!
