A cold sore causing genital herpes?

Question:

I know that a cold sore can cause genital herpes (now) and I have some questions. My girlfriend performed oral sex on me when she had a cold sore. There was no protection. I noticed two bumps which seemed like ingrown hairs or pimples at the bottom of the shaft either later that day or the next day. This seems early for herpes virus to transfer, right? Do cold sores cause the full blown real herpes virus of infamous renown if transmitted in such a way? Ok, basically one bump went away, but one is still there. It's quite obscured by hair, it's very small and I have trouble really getting a good look at it, but it does hurt when I touch it. I have to pretty much look for it to find it. Could this be connected to my recent outbreak of labyrinthitis as well? Should I be very worried?

Herpes and ingrown hairs look quite alike. However, Herpes looks more like a blister, or a blistered pimple.

Also, the breakout of Herpes usually takes place 3-7 days after the infection, not a few hours after. Additionally, your first breakout should be one of the worst.

Labrynthitis, as far as I know, has no effect on herpes, or vice versa. One is located in the ear, and one is located in the genital. The only problems I could see is if you developed the flu symptoms that herpes sometimes bring, paired with the vertigo associated with labrynthitis. That could make for some nasty nausea.

I really don't think it's herpes. But please, for your sake and your girlfriends, go get tested. Look at it this way: If you don't have it, then you can rest easy. If you do have it, you'll know, and you can get treatment to lessen the severity and length of outbreaks.

If ur g/f had a active cold sore on her mouth and gave u oral sex..then YES she can pass herpes 1 onto u..this is how i got it from my partner..3 to 4 days later i came out in sores that turned to blisters..i went to the drs who took a swab and she gave me antibiotics to clear the blisters up..its so easy to catch and not many people are aware of this.The first outbreak is the worst and having herpes 1 is not as half as bad and u have less outbreaks then if u had type 2 herpes.
