Problem with thrush?
Question:
been to doctors but got told it is just something some women get!
any advice please!?
Answers:
Candidiasis, commonly called yeast infection or thrush, is a fungal infection of any of the Candida species, of which Candida albicans is the most common.
In a study of 1009 women in New Zealand, the fungus, Candida albicans, was isolated from the vaginas of 19% of apparently healthy women. Carriers experienced few or no symptoms. However, external use of irritants (such as some detergents or douches) or internal disturbances (hormonal or physiological) can perturb the normal flora, constituting lactic acid bacteria, such as lactobacilli, and an overgrowth of yeast can result in noticeable symptoms. Pregnancy, the use of oral contraceptives, engaging in vaginal sex immediately and without cleansing after anal sex, and using lubricants containing glycerine have been found to be causally related to yeast infections. Diabetes mellitus and the use of antibiotics are also linked to an increased incidence of yeast infections.
In your case, your partner's condom might be the irritant. Try to use / change to another type condom / brands.
yo both need to be treated at the same time, properly.
Are you treating your partner when you get thrush??
Men don't generally show any symptoms and therefore think they don't have it.
Get him treated too.
If this doesn't work, get a second opinion, you may need stronger antibiotics,.
maybe time to use a condom and if that doesn't help, looks like you will just have to keep the cream at hand.
only clean down below with water. Dont use any soap, even the ones that are made for down there. Your body is meant to clean its self naturally and when we wash "down there" lol we wash away healthy bacteria that keeps away the bad bacteria that cause thrush. Also where loose fitting clothing and cotton pants. You can also dip a tampon in natural yogurt and put it in for a bit.
Hope it clears up!
Oh.. also.. when you treat your thrush, is your boyfriend taking the same treatment? If not, he might have it and keeps passing it back to you when you sleep together.
I would have your partner checked out.
Eat plenty of natural, live yoghurt, it helps to eliminate the yeast that causes thrush.
Hopefully you dont have a pregnancy because you both dont deserve the gift of God and need too see a doctor. Do it now because families that can't have children would love to give them a life and education. HAVE A HEART!! They need LOVE!!
It is also known as 'honey-mooners disease', perhaps because the new bride doesn't go to the toilet after making love (which seemed to fix up my second wife). Eating yoghurt does help to maintain the bodies natural flora. Don't excessively clean the area (first wife was obsessive about cleanliness) and eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables.
