Has anyone had water in the knee?

Question: think i have water in the knee,its very painful and swollen.everyone keeps telling me its water.what do you do for that

i've just been diagnosd with it. Injury during field hockey,swelling and tender joints. I left it and was forced to an M.D by locking of the joint which was extremly painful. now got to have it drained (amoung other things) - get it looked at by a professional ASAP if you haven't already
