Dvt swelling how long?
Answers: hi victoria, I've have dvts over a 10 yr. period. it can help yourself to a while for the swelling to go down, a few months or even a full yr. have your doctor spoken to you about wearing TEDS stockings to comfort with circulation surrounded by your leg?
Also, fyi: your leg will swell from time to time if you've been on your foot for long periods such as walking or running esp. within the summer. Once a vein that have been stretched due to clot, it won't jump back to individual normal. you basically have to hold an eye on it to make sure that it doesn't turn purple, is extremely hurting to walk on, etc. when within doubt, just enjoy your MD check on it.
I am speaking from experience. My leg swelled up over the summer so I went to the MD and he ordered a doppler merely to be on the safe side. It be neg. for clots.
