I keep getting bites on legs,ankles and arms but only at night nad they really itch?!?!?

Question:

Only get them at night, cat is in household, they are red and itchy, no one else in family gets them cat did have fleas but bought a flea spray for my room i've had to pull up my carpet because i thought some were embedded in it. but still recieve bites i sleep in another room yet, i still get bites, doctor has given me medication but it has no effect. Could i be allergic to the cat

Sometimes fleas and mosquito's prefer certain people, I don't know why but people can be in a room with my daughter and she gets bitten and they don't. My mother in law has the same problem with fleas, not mosquito's, I on the other hand am rarely bothered by either, go figure

I would suggest a flea bomb for the whole house, annoying but effective (0nly spraying your room only kills the live ones that are there, not the eggs or the others in the house) Then a topical flea med for your cat, and spray your lawn.

The sad news is that you can have fleas even when you do this, but the bomb usually gives you an advantage and then you can keep ahead of the little buggers.

You can also have fleas and not have an animal, the just like that blood meal and they don't care who or what gives it to them

well, if it's bites then its obviously not allergy to the cat, he isn't biting you is he?;-)
could be you family is immune to mesquitoes but you attract them.
but if its not bites, then yeah, it could be the cat. shoot him;-) jj

Has the cat been treated for the fleas or just the carpet? If the cat is going outside regularly it could be bringing in more fleas. Limit the cat's access to your room, use a flea bomb in your room, and wash everything in super hot water. A cat allergy would not produce bites on your ankles and legs. A cat allergy would result in more generalized allergy symptoms.
