Can diastolic readings be over 200 mm/hg for blood pressure?

Interesting question, yes I have see it on 2 occasions, and both of them went home after a few days of stay in the hospital.
Well any thing is possible, we had to recheck our apparatus and all were working fine.
The readings were 299/222 & 297/250 mm Hg. on dynamap.
Please ensure that the BP apparatus in accurate working condition, before starting robust treatment. Both were females.

Since the diastolic has to be less than the systolic--that's quite a BP. I personally have never seen this high a diastolic in all my years in the medical field.
Never seen it but it is possible and very very dangerous.
