Dripping nose while eating?
Question:
Answers:
Parasympathetic hyperactivty causing rhinitis while eating is called vasomotor rhinitis. This also usually occurs when exposed to cold. Try atrovent nasal spray 0.06% two sprays twice daily and increase as needed. Should resolve the problem. If it doesn't, see an ENT to figure out what is going on.
You may be allergic to spice or something I don't know. Or it's too spicy for you.
I don't know, but that happens to me when I eat spicy food also. I never thought about why it happens.
Interesting observation.
Try blowing your nose before you eat. You can get afrin spray or a prescription like flonase. It will greatly reduce post nasal drip.
