Help can anyone give me an answer about food allergies?

Question:
Ok, at my house theres a pecan pie in the refrigerator just calling my name! I WANT TO EAT IT SOOO BAD. The only thing that seems to stop me is that im allergic to peanuts. BUT im NOT allergic to cashews or almonds, and i thinking pecans because i do remember eating one once, but im not sure and i don't feel like getting hives right now if im wrong. Can anyone help me? should i try a bite of the pie or leave my stomach empty?

Answers:
Peanuts are grown under the ground the way the peanuts are grown may make you allergic because of the stuff in the ground. Pecans are grown on trees like almonds if you have tried almonds and are not allergic to almonds you should not be allergic to pecans. So try a bite if you have any reactions occure do not eat anymore and talk to your doctor do not worry about hives there are plenty cures to hives ecspecially if you only eat one bite. Here is a cure for hives: Take corn starch and water mix it together and make a paste rub it on and leave it there.
NO. DO NOT EAT IT!
if you are not sure...do not eat it. not only can you get hives, your throat can close up on you. DO NOT take a chance.
That is the only thing in the fridge?? Do not eat it have a glass of water take a nap or go for a walk :) Be nice to yourself to take chances
Hi,
Don't eat the pie. My daughter is allergic to nuts. The allergist explained it like this..
One day you eat a nut and you are fine. The next day you eat the same amount and you have a sever reaction that could include shock and your throat could close up. Nut allergies are usually a life long allergy. Most people don't outgrow.
I would talk to an allergist if I were so he can explain the seriousness of consuming food you are allergic to.
You should probably not eat it, but it may be safe for you. Unfortunately, from here I can't guarantee its safe.

Peanuts are often mistaken as nuts and they're not. Peanuts are a bean/legume, and in no way related to pecans.

That said, most nuts are processed on the same lines/equipment as peanuts so cross-contamination is a huge problem.

So unless the maker of the pecan pie can assure you that nothing in the pie has been in contact with peanuts, I'd stay away from it.
