If you not use to eating them they may make you feel a little bad.. They have Iodine in them

I think its just a coincidence. thats IMO though. I can't eat shrimp cause Im allergic to it. it gives me hives.

If you a bunch of any fried food, it can make you sick. Also, might have been bad shrimp.

WHen that kept happening to me, I discovered it was because I had an allergy to shellfish. I can no longer enjoy lobster, crab, shrimp, etc. I got "coincidentally sick" everytime I have eaten those...Check with your doctor. He can test you.
Food poisoning is certainly a possibility. Did any other members of your party also eat the shrimp? If so, did they become ill?

Well, since you havent ate any meat in a while you could be feeling a bit nausiated becasue of that. It could be in your head but I doubt it. Shrimp are floor eatters, so they arent that great for you, you could have gotten some bad fish. Take an anti-nausea pil that should help, and drink lots and lots of water to flush it out. If in about an hour and you still feel really bad think of something else, if you are still felling bad call your doctor or emergancy room, you might need your stomach pumped.
Your body isnt use to that type of food. Or it could all be in your mind because you know what you ate is different from your norm (yes that can be a possibility)...anyway popcorn shrimp never made me sick (I get mine from Long Johns). Hope you feel better.
If you order it from the restaurant chain "Joe's Crab Shack", yes, it can make you sick. They use a "party atmosphere" to mask poor food handling and substandard employee training.
