Can you get infected with HIV through saliva (i.e. kissing - not oral sex)?
Question:
Answers:
There has never been a documented case of HIV transmission via kissing. Plenty of other stds can be transmitted by kissing, but not HIV.
Slim chance but say you have a sore in your mouth and then you french kiss someone with it you are at risk.
Any body fluid swapping exposes people to it
That has been proven to be not possible. However, don't take any chances and try not to kiss people you don't know much about. There are many other bacteria and viruses you can get from kissing but none of them are generally considered STD's
It is not impossible, but the chances are so slim that many medical professionals will say no.
In theory, yes.
However, to my knowledge, there have been no recorded cases of HIV being transmitted solely through kissing. Do you mean deep kissing (French, with saliva exchange)?
HIV transmission requires direct blody fluid contact. While HIV has been found in LOW levels in saliva, it is said that the levels are too low for transmission. However, it certainly doesn't take much and a person could unknowingly have a cut or sore in their mouth through which HIV-infected saliva could travel (bleeding gums, small cut caused by hard food such as chips or popcorn).
So...in theory, yes, it's possible.

No you cannot get HIV through kissing, hugging, sharing eating utencils or cups, a toliet seat or a mosquito bite. Yes it is possible that if someone had open sores in thier mouth and you kissed them hard (harder than just a regular make out session) then the risk might be there but it will still be unlikely.
yes u can get hiv through kissing if the infected person has a cut in there mouth and u can pretty much get all std's that way if they have cuts in there mouth but herpes u can get just by dry kissing
