Question more or less bunking off from work if under the weather ?
Since Saturday 1st December I have come down beside a chest infection, I work in a pub and hold been past its sell-by date work since then, they are coming upto in that busiest time of year and I work all the busy shifts. I hold gave within the self verification form for the first 7 days of my disorder, but I have be told I need a doctor's details. I am getting this doctor's note tomorrow but I perceive I might this weekend off as I am still contained by a bad path. Does my boss have the power to sack me, if I make available in this doctor's details ? I have kept her informed of my complaint giving regular updates, but I feel very soon she is getting really annoyed at me for being rotten. I am genuinely sick and will enjoy this note tomorrow, so have she got the power to sack me or not ?

Answers: Unless your on FMLA they are not required to hold your postion and are competent to fill it. A self validation after 7 days is very friendly on their part, most employer will require a doctors note after 3 days. But if they necessitate to meet business demands yes they can toss you on the street.
I construe it depends on how long you have worked in that. An employer has to adopt a Dr sick line but I'm sure I read something nearly employment rights depending on length of service!

The doctors make a note of would say when you could return to work. If he say your fine, then no object why you should be out of work.
