my best friend's daughter has cerebral palsy, too... thank God her mom is a "Motopaedin" (it's German).. she has skills to deal with it, but she still says that it's hard work for her every day. she says without her faith, she probably wouldn't be able to handle it
there must be some kind of organization in your area... this is America ... there's an organization to help you for just about any kind of need... research it on the internet

It is spelled Cerebral Palsy and there should be some help for this in every state in America. Tell your niece's mother to contact the Cerebral Palsy Foundation and see if they can make some recommendations for her in the way of these things she needs for her daughter. She can also ask her pediatrician or neurologist about places to check with to see to her daughter's medical needs. If she can't seem to find that foundation, then tell her to locate the local Shriner's Club for Crippled and Burned Children. She can start at the local county commissioners office too, and make her needs known there. There are lots of companies who will donate these things to families in need and they write it off on their taxes. Hope I've been of some help here. I too have a daughter with Cerebral Palsy but we live in North Carolina. Please feel free to contact me too. I will see if there is anything I can help her to get started with. Sometimes you just need to dig for it, but help is out there. I did a musical concert fundraiser to get my daughter's first van. Lots of luck!
