I get woken up by the feeling of bugs crawling on me!?

Question:
This has happened for the last couple weeks now. At night, I wake up and feel a bug crawling on me-various parts of my body, even in my hair-it feels big, I can feel each leg taking a step, sometimes climbing from my arm to torso, etc. Each time I wake up-I freak out, turn on the light, check the covers and there are no bugs-am I going crazy?

Answers:
waking up to things crawling on you is weird but it might be dust mites, every one has them in their bed and in their clothes, you cannot get rid of them 100%. And in case you didnt know why they are there, they feed off of your dead skin cells so try not to move as much while you're in the bed.
make sure you take a bath or shower before you go to bed and change your sheets and comforter, because u might have bed bugs and you can't see them
lol no, i get the same feeling too sometimes. just be glad it's just bugs... not a monkey ^^
Clean your bed sheets.

...Don't let the bed bugs bite!
Check your bed carefully for bedbugs. Look under the mattress, along the binding of the mattress, in the dark corners of your nightstand, etc. They tend to live within about 3 or 4 feet of your bed. They suck your blood while you're sleeping and will leave red tracks on you where they've fed. You might also see very small spots of blood on your sheets. Another way to check, is to submerge yourself in the bathtub - pj's and all - immediately after waking with this crawling sensation. The bedbugs will float to the surface. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/bedbugs...

It could also be dust mites that feed on your dead skin. That's normal, but if you're mattress is really old or you haven't changed your sheets in a while, there could be more of them. I periodically vaccum my mattress just to suck out what I can. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/dust_mites...

Other than that, are you on any new medications or stopping any medications (smoking included)? You could be having a reaction or just experiencing one of their side effects.
