Blisters on my Bum. Help please?

Question:
About 5 years ago I had an itch at the top of my bum, where my bum crack meets my spine. When I itched it, loads of little blisters suddenly appeared.

I went to the walk in centre as I thought it was herpes but the guy said that it couldn't be herpes coz it wasn't on my genitals. My GP had a quick look and said it was a mild case of shingles, I was at uni so put it down to stress.

Since then, I have a few outbreaks each year. Yesterday I had an itch on my bum cheek, it became inflamed and then blisters came up again.

I know this isn't normal, does anyone think it could be Herpes?

Answers:
Hey, this is almost surely a case of "Prickly heat" aslo known as Miliaria, no need to see a doctor you can get non-prescriptive treatments at your nearest pharmacy, how on earth did you get to think it was herpes! Completely aviod any synthetic clothes, light cotton is the best, use the ointments and keep as cool as possible, clap your hands and vote best answer if you think i'm right...some links: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/miliaria... .. http://www.sja.org.uk/sja/first-aid-advi...
Go see your doc and get the fluid from the blisters cultured so you KNOW for sure what it is.
