Coming off...?

Question:
I have not been able to take my antidepressants for 3 days now because of major gastro reflux which gets SIGNIFICANTLY worse after taking. So instead of weaning myself off of these drugs, I am stopping cold turkey, after taking 20 mg per day. Any one ever had experience with this? I want experienced people only please. Thank you.

Answers:
yes.
you get to a point where your sorta get addicted to them.cold showers defenetly helped me out and i took sleeping pills to waste time.make sure that your never in a situation where you have nothing to do.keep your self busy that why your mind doesnt pay much attention to the lack of your antidepressants. never be in a situation where your bored specially not alone.talk to friends and people around you.loose all the pills make sure you take drastic measures.of coarse only for the first week or so til you think your ready to go on your own
yes i went cold turkey and i can say its not the best thing to go through,it will last for about a week and its not pleasant.i would try talking to your g,p and tell him your symptoms.
first of all what anti-depressant is it? And have you try taking over the counter prilosec, but first ask your doctor because some over-the-counter drugs can interact with meds. and it's best not to stop cold turkey because it could cause some serious side affects may need to change anti-depressant
