Can herpes spread?
Question:
I went to a doctor and he said herpes. Ok, remind you I do have herpes. Today, I have about 5 bumps, white and pus or clear , they do not itch, and I can squeeze them. One is larger than the others. It is on the same cheek and slighty away from where I had the previous outbreak. This is about my 3 OB there. Could this be herpes? What does herpes look like on the skin other than your gential area?
Answers:
You just describe the answer to you own question, yes they can spread, they can spread the whole genitalia area ,and as for the mouth they can spread across the whole face. They can even spread to the eyes.Just as the rule goes, always use protection , not only for you but others. Never have sex at all at a break out period. Make sure you are seeking medical attention, and taking medications for your condition. Medications doesn't cure Herpes it just makes your break outs less frequent and painful. Always wash you hands.
you can get herpes anywhere, they can appear and spread to other places they just call it warts, you see warts on others faces and hands right?
yes they can spread and don't scratch or try to pop them that will make them spread.
Keep the area clean, and do not touch it. Also, get blood work done to clarify if it is HSV-1 or HSV-2. Type 1 usually affects the oral (mouth) parts of the body, while type 2 affects the genitals - BUT both have the ability to reverse their location. (IE: Oral sex from a partner who has Type 1, you would end up with possible symptoms down below) Careful with your sex life since you can transmit it to your partner even without any symptoms. Talk to your doctor, they can probably prescribe an Acyclovir based drug to help heal time and suppress the virus. Valacyclovir (Valtrex), Acyclovir (Zovirax), Famciclovir (Famvir) are the main types of drugs used to suppress the Virus.
