Can I have a baby when I have a hernia?

I have a hernia, which is when my muscle in my belly has a hole in it, and my intestine pops out of it. Sometimes, it looks like i have a lump, the size of a lemon, popping out of my stomach. I was wondering, when I'm older, will I be able to have a baby? What if I get the surgery? I had the hernia for about 2 years. And it hasn't popped out since then.

Get the hernia repair surgery now & you should be able to have a baby in the future. The surgery isn't that bad at all. In most cases, youw ill stay in the hospital overnight. The doctor will explain the surgery to you before hand & ask him any questions you may have when you see him. I had an umbilical hernia & all of a sudden it really became bothersome, so I had the surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. I'm glad the surgery is all behind me.
