Is there an easy way to take your own pulse?
Question:
Answers:
If you must take your own pulse, which is not recommended, do it via your neck. It is not recommended because it is harder to count the beats correctly. Pulse is the number of beats in one minute, but nurses, cna's, med assistants, and doctors a lot of times count for only15 seconds then just multiply by 4.
NORMAL IS 60-100 not 120-140!
There's a primary vein right underneath your jaw (like, directly below where your molars start in your mouth). Also one on your wrist. set your stop watch for one minute and count each beat. you should be at about 120-140, I think.
Flip your watch around to the inner wrist (assuming it has a 2nd hand). Put your social and ring fingers of your right hand on the vein that's moving rapidly. Count.
Find your pulse in your wrist or jugular with your index and middle finger press gently until you feel it steady and clear time 15 seconds multiply by 4 and there is your answer.
hold you wrist to know the pulse with your fingure of other hand, or its good to take help of your friend to get accurate pulse beat.
