How long would it take for an std test to show positive?

Question:
I have heard that std's don't show up positive right away...what is the wait time?

Answers:
It depends on the disease. All diseases have an "incubation period" whereas this is the time the disease gets ready to become full blown. You may become infected with HIV but it doesnt turn into AIDS until a few years later.. However something like chicken pox.. the incubation period is 7-14 days..understand? An STD that shows up quick is Chlamydia ..if your a male your penis will experience a burning sensation within 7-10 days of being exposed to the germ that causes it (a certain bacteria).
Depending on the std.
Can be up to a week or 2.
